Okay, so it's not really a scam, but it's a small white lie that you'll tell yourself as you're browsing the internet in search of that last cat-video to put you to sleep. Or when it's 4th and down and you're asked to do something around the house, you know you'll get to it, just not in the next 5 minutes, or 15 minutes, might have to wait until after highlights actually.

Paycards
So as I said, some are more serious than others, getting your paycheck on a paycard rather than as a check or direct deposit may seem like it's not a big deal but it can become a problem down the road. Whether you're trying to pump gas and the station issues a hold on funds from your card and it has insufficient funds for something you know you have money for later. Or it's the annoying feeling of getting nickel-and-dimed at every transaction these cards hurt you financially. If at all possible set up an account and get direct deposit, at least then you won't have to worry about paying fees to use your own hard earned money.

Remember all those security questions that you have to complete as you're creating your online accounts for Google, or your bank? it's a clever game that gets harmlessly forwarded until you're wondering how someone knew the name of your favorite pet and what city you were born in.
