The old dog in the wine education rat race. If you live in England, this is the place to attend wine school.

The biggest and baddest of the American upstart sommelier programs. Run by a former winemaker and malcontent. Pretty awesome. More sommeliers and winemakers come out of this Philly school than any other over the pond.

Court of Master Sommeliers
Achieving the distinction of Master Sommelier takes years of preparation and an unwavering commitment. That's one way to put it. Featured in the movie SOMM.

Capital Wine School
Hailing from Washington, DC (or a suburb thereof). Run WSET programs and others. Nice outfit.

American Sommelier Association
The American Sommelier Association is a national organization comprised of local chapters throughout the United States. Depending on their size and location, chapters conduct classes, meetings, organized tastings and social events supporting wine education and the enjoyment of wine.

International Sommelier Guild
Out of Canada, this Guild runs very good exams, but aren't a school per se. They team up with schools to offer their certifications.

The United States Sommelier Association offers sommelier courses and certification from beginning to advanced

They claim to be America's oldest Somm school. Who am I to argue?
