The resident ghost at the Government House in Regina has even been given a nickname -- 'Howie' is said to open and shut doors, move items around and it is to him that strange footsteps have been attributed.

It is said that the first keeper of the lighthouse was murdered in 1815 and now haunts this building, the oldest existing lighthouse on the Great Lakes. Combing food and dining with the possibility of an old-fashioned haunting, customers have recounted stories of moving table settings and strange cold drafts. It is thought that the ghost is of a train conductor who died in a collision on a track that once lay where the restaurant now stands.
